Please sign the petition below to close the intersection of West Portal Avenue and Ulloa Street to car traffic and make the area safe for people while making public transportation faster and more reliable. With your help, we can make this area better now: actionnetwork.org/letters/westpo…

Two people were killed in West Portal near the intersection of West Portal Avenue and Ulloa Street — an intersection with multiple Muni bus and train stops — and SFMTA should close the intersection to car traffic while it studies improvements. Statement ➡️docs.google.com/document/d/e/2…

Ordinary people are capable of extremely aggressive behavior when they drive a motor vehicle. And if something tragic happens they call it an accident.

Clement street farmer’s market is bustling despite 0 (😱) on street parking. People flock to car free spaces for their quiet, safety, community, and fun.

Sucks that Hayes is open to cars again. Came down here for a family brunch at @thebirdsf and won’t be coming back until we can eat safely.

Look at how effective the concrete was at slowing the car! A breakaway post fountain would have done nothing.

WATCH: The Main Street fountain, a landmark of downtown Nantucket, was destroyed Sunday night by a pickup truck

@Apple Since many people can ride a bike faster than 10 mph — Apple Maps’s default speed — and with the increasing adoption of e-bikes (which can go up to 28 mph without peddling), not offering an option/setting for biking speed is flawed and encourages people to drive. @Tim_Cook

But this makes them sound like a blight upon humanity. Maybe “family bikes are the new mini vans”?

Anyone who guess 100 went over. Bob Barker is dead at 99. So long and thanks for all the memories bob.

I dug up previously unpublished concept drawings & models of the proposed Panhandle Freeway and they are ... harrowing. ☹️☹️☹️ The later sketches look like they were designed by the same architect who worked on the Death Star trenches. sfchronicle.com/vault/article/…

Something we don't talk about enough: Just how close city leaders came to turning the Panhandle into an eight-lane freeway, and the absolute legends who put a stop to it. A San Francisco horror story for your weekend 😱⬇️ (Gift link! 🎁) sfchronicle.com/vault/article/…
