The South Carolina Department of Transportation is assisting law enforcement after the Blossom Street bridge in Columbia was closed due to flooding. SCDOT is working to reopen the road and asks that the public slow down and pay attention when driving near the area.

In Columbia this morning at the @Savage_Craft Ale Works in West Columbia with Governor @HenryMcMaster, Rep. @MicahCaskey, Sen. @NikkiSetzler, and others, for the ceremonial signing into law of a bill I wrote called the Abandoned Buildings Revitalization Act.
Today, I signed a bill that provides tax credits to revitalize abandoned buildings. By providing this tax credit, we encourage developers, business owners, and entrepreneurs to breathe new life into once-neglected properties, creating new jobs and preserving our state's history.
