Our gratitude to Dr. Alicia Scott for a great year as FASP President. She passed the gavel to our incoming President, Dr. Joseph Latimer. Looking forward to a great year of advocacy! Thank you to our FASP Conference attendees, presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors! #FASPac2024
RETWEET if you are proud to have voted for Kamala!
The Trevor Project reported a 700 percent increase in crisis calls from LGBTQ+ youth after the election. Let that sink in.
Happy National School Psychology Week to all the skilled professionals working in schools & communities to support students' mental well-being. Thank you for your work & dedication! #NationalSchoolPsychologyWeek #NSPW
If you support eliminating the Department of Education, you do not support our students. Period. @USEDgov provides funding for: ✅Students w/ disabilities ✅Rural students ✅Programs that make college affordable This would be bad for students, and bad for America.
"An Exploratory Investigation of Student-Level Factors and Perceptions of Safety in Secondary Schools Implementing SWPBIS" More work around SWPBIS and safety in our middle and high schools needs to be done, but this is an excellent start. Give it a read! rdcu.be/dPDjt

Proud of the students and faculty at UT for showing Hartzell and Abbott that they will not be intimidated.
Back at UT Austin for day two of protests. This one says it is both intended to support Gaza and to condemn the police response yesterday. The crowd is at least 5x larger than the crowd that showed up yesterday at this time. Peaceful, quiet. Very little law enforcement presence.
Women leaders help increase productivity, enhance collaboration, and improve fairness. Still, only 10% of Fortune 500 companies today are women-led. Here's how we can help move more women in leadership using psychological science: at.apa.org/7gr #internationalwomensday
As I am prepping my annual review materials (IYKYK) and reading qual responses from my undergrad course, I come across this gem: "He is compassionate and willing to compromise for the betterment of his students' learning. Father Scheel is the GOAT." I guess I can retire now! ✌🏻
