Calling all Tech entrepreneurs...read this!

If you’re a tech entrepreneur/startup and you’re not thinking about accessibility because you think 25% of the global population won’t consider using your product or that accessibility is too much work, let me explain why you could actually be more successful including it: 1/x

Getting ready for the Big Walk for Marie Curie charity. Lots to be thankful for, happy to sponsor such a great charity. Neil Eustice is fundraising for Marie Curie (justgiving.com)

One of those special moments you wish you were there for.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but Neil Diamond, who retired from performing five years ago because of Parkinsons, just had a Broadway show of him open and it at the opening night he did this

Nothing beats a free resource...unless it's a free resource chock full of great, accessible information about why accessibility matters. Check out the #BDFTechTaskForce

Are you having conversations with colleagues about why accessibility is important? Use our free resources to share why inclusion matters. #BDFTechTaskforce businessdisabilityforum.org.uk/knowledge-hub/…

Absolutely agree with this.

Organizations need policies, processes & artifacts (documentation/software) to ensure that digital #accessibility initiatives are strengthened over time. It can't rely on individual advocates, but requires a champions network to see it becomes part of the culture.

Why do video captions matter? Take a look at the video on the BDF site and it will become obvious. businessdisabilityforum.org.uk/knowledge-hub/…

Agreed, it is good to see the C-Suite talking about disability. It is better if they speak from personal experience.

So proud of @CarolineBinc and fully agree that the C-Suite needs to open up about their own experience with / connection to #disability if we are to bring about the cultural change we desire. #business #axschat

Don't have time or the relevant expertise to lay out the business case for why inclusion matters? Lucky for you the BDF have a great video and other resources to kick-start your campaign. twitter.com/DisabilitySmar…

We’ve just launched our latest resource around the Accessibility Business Case and it’s in video content, watch to see why inclusion matters. #BDFTechTaskforce businessdisabilityforum.org.uk/knowledge-hub/…

Who is that lady fast asleep behind Prince Charles during the parade today?

Very useful information and sound advice.

This year a few of the staff at my Dr's surgery are supporting the Alzheimer's Society by taking part in their "bake for dementia" day. They invited registered carers to come along. Couldn't resist and spent a fiver on a couple of lovely looking cakes.

Looking forward to see if Rachel can repeat her Grand National win today. Love the KPMG logo on her jacket too.

The BDF knowledge hub is packed full of essential, helpful information. Collaborators like @Microsoft any many others help to improve the content on an ongoing basis. Check it out during #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek

It’s Neurodiversity Celebration Week and we are very happy to announce @Microsoft’s continued support of our Neurodiversity Toolkit, which is available on our Knowledge Hub. Find the toolkit at: businessdisabilityforum.org.uk/knowledge-hub/…

So officially at half way point through cancer treatment & doctors say they are amazed I am coping so well with it. The gym & mindfulness sessions are a big part of recovery & PMA can boost your chances greatly. #PositiveMentalAttitude

Q6 I was allowed to transform my job role to be completely focused on A11Y because they saw the benefits it would bring to the business. Now we are looking at apprenticeships for digital accessibility specialists and loudly extolling the virtues of working in this field.

Q6 Many of us ended up in #accessibility by accident as a second or third career, what can we do to make #a11y attractive as a career choice to people entering the jobs market. #AXSChat

Very well said, share far and wide.

.@ZelenskyyUa's tv address to the Russian (!) people might be the most moving speech that I've ever seen in my entire life. The whole world needs to see, understand and share this crucial Ukrainian message. #StandWithUkraine #Ukraine #Україна #Russia #Россия

This behaviour by inconsiderate drivers annoys me intensely. Do not park on pavements.

“Please just don’t park on the pavement.” A Yorkshire man has shared this footage of his guide dog to warn people about pavement parking. bbc.in/3uqAj1j

A good freebie from the BDF to help you understand what it means to promote accessibility across your business. Well worth a read.

Disability smart organisations promote accessibility across its business. This guide talks about; what it means, who it affects and why you should do it. #BDFTechTaskforce businessdisabilityforum.org.uk/knowledge-hub/…

Looking forward to this...
