I found this to be true for me. Certain values I was raised with serve me well.... up to a point. It is often hard to out grow your upbringing.

People tell you to drive an old car & live cheap forever...but it's important to have "trigger points" to comfortably scale your life up too. There's a time to buy the house you want, a nice vehicle, or whatever. Never enjoying the fruits of your labor is a crime.

As the only non school teacher in my family, I'm fascinated by the intersection of tech & education. Pls enjoy this interview w/ Dr Goldson, retired CEO of PG County Schools. lnkd.in/g8mNeKix #masterstrokepodcast, #businesspodcast, #education #leadership #AI #edtech

LLM growth and power seems to be slowing. If so, what to expect? Good post from @gogwilt @ironclad_inc

The future of AI is at a turning point. As advances in LLMs slow down, the real innovation will come from smarter design, specialization and collaboration. Ready to explore what’s next? Dive into @GoGwilt’s vision for AI in this @VentureBeat article: venturebeat.com/ai/llm-progres…

Thanks to Master Stroke for hosting me on their podcast. Listening to "Insights -with Advisor Ned Renzi " at buzzsprout.com/2296900/153508… #msfoundersandceos #masterstrokepodcast

My biggest pleasant surprise about SF/SV is how willing people are willing to meet and pay it forward.

Introduced some young founders to a number of incredibly successful people. Every single one was happy to meet them and give them advice with no expectation of anything in return. Silicon Valley is an amazing place.

This resonates…

The best thing we can teach people — especially younger people — is that you can literally just do stuff. If you have an idea you can go and try to make it happen. It won't always work out. But it does not need to always work out for it to be worthwhile.

Learned a new word that I really like.

Great word I learned yesterday: "Pronoia": the opposite of paranoia. The world is not conspiring against you, but in favour of you.

How to raise capital in the current market (or any market). Good post by @jlowenhar of @EnjoyTheWork enjoythework.com/how-to-raise-e…

Doing hard things is a skill. The more hard things you do, the easier it will be to do more hard things.

The first time you work really hard on something, in addition to the immediate benefit (whatever you were working for) you also learn that you're capable of working really hard. This makes it easier to be ambitious in all your future plans.

Kudos @LuisvonAhn for making my broccoli taste good :) Learning Italian and Spanish on @duolingo

As an experiment, we're posting a short TED Talk directly here on X. If you like, please spread the word, and more will follow! This is the brilliant @LuisvonAhn showing how worthy content like Duolingo can compete online.

I wrote for @business on what AI means for the business of law. TLDR: change is coming, but the paradox of AI is that it renders humans more, not less, important. news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/ai…
