This is today in Maputo, Mozambique. Protests after the rigged Oct 9 election by ruling party (FRELIMO 49 yrs in power) and killing of two key opposition members. There's a slow and steady wave across the continent against all these neo colonial tyrants. Africans are tired!

Only a deeper interest rate cut, in the range of 4-5% can meaningfully and quickly show up credit to private sector, create jobs & yield taxes. In being too cautious, the MPC is not utilizing the low inflation window to full effect.

OMG! Kenya is paying 3.45% higher interest on the 2024, 1.5bn eurobond because of a lower credit rating. We should do something about that! I'm looking forward to the APRM's Credit Rating Experts meeting in Cairo this morning.
