I was a young pastor and a homeless man came forward to receive communion . I looked him in the eyes and said that Christ’s body was broken for him and his blood shed for him. He thought for a second and then said, “that’s a hell of a deal!” I responded, “yes sir it is!”

Tony Campolo played significant role in my faith in my 20's. I'm grateful that he made me and many others uncomfortable in holy ways. Take time to listen to this story...it's pretty powerful. youtu.be/kWlMV-UmueM?si…

RIP Tony P "While you were sleeping last night, 30,000 kids died of starvation or diseases related to malnutrition. Most of you don't give a shit. What's worse is that you're more upset with the fact that I said shit than the fact that 30,000 kids died last night" -Tony Campolo

Win or lose, Tyson deserves a TON of credit for just staying up so late.

Tysons booty!!!

Remember Drakkar Noir?

You are lonely and looking to receive more text messages. I would encourage you to be a registered independent in a swing state. I promise you that you will be lonely no more.

The young lady at Chick-fil-A was dropping all kinds of cuss words. yet she managed to give me the benediction of having a blessed day and that everything was her pleasure. I felt seen

The cowbell thing at Mississippi State makes listening to a game absolutely painful!

As a Christian, it is easy to look at our current culture and see an eroding ethic of sexuality...as if it is something new. It ain't new. I'm currently reading slowly through Genesis...and what Lot's daughters did to him would be national news and not the good kind.

while simple, Red Beans + Rice is one of the most underrated Creole dishes when done well.

Global Mission: What Christian thought leaders are most vocal about reducing global mission (trips/money) to focus on local mission? I'm seeing less and less global connection from local churches and I'm curious to learn more about it.

Kickers are dropping 50+ yard kicks with ease! This was not happening 20 years ago was it???

We have a retired banker at the church who loves to use the phrase "this might make your butt pucker" each time he shows our elders a spread sheet. I'm here for it.

I still think God's voice probably sounds just like James Earl Jones! James Earl Jones, Authoritative Actor and Voice of Darth Vader, Dies at 93 yahoo.com/entertainment/… via @Yahoo

As complicated as this sounds, I am paid to cultivate a life with God. Sure it can feel like we pastors are paid to market our churches, run programs or impress you with our spiritual thoughts. The truth is, the greatest gift I can give my church is my humble faith in Christ.

🎯 “One reason so many people avoid the quiet is just because they have yet to find a way of being with God that is conducive to their personalities and stages of life” - John Mark Comer

If someone has zero ability to be lighthearted, is that just their personality or would you say it’s cause for concern? I am in the latter camp.

Our church has a growing number of people who are in some type of recovery. Part of me wonders if there have always been large numbers of people in recovery in the churches, I’ve served, they just didn’t tell anyone.

#FantasyFootball I’m confused. I see more and more people who are drafting a quarterback in the sixth round or later because they focus on wide receivers and running backs. Yet 13 of the top 14 point scorers from last year were quarterbacks. What am I missing?
