Hey, we're getting even more regressive media restrictions and still no media council in sight. Obviously this push to regulate online media seems to be coming when cytros are failing badly so rather than innovate new political Comms, go back to 40 year old practices instead.

So, according to press groups, there are rumours of online media licensing, through an amendment of the printing presses and publications act - courtesy of Anwar's gomen. "Surprise, surprise".

salah. perumahan merupakan hak asasi semua manusia. no one should have more than one when there are those who have none. beli semata-mata untuk meraih keuntungan hanya akan meningkatkan harga pasaran. renungkanlah kesan tindakan anda terhadap orang lain. care for all people.

beli rumah untuk investment pun salah ke 😂 people do hate on the things that they dont have

Malaysia's education system is extremely opaque - there is almost 0 transparency on key education metrics at sufficient granularity for meaningful analysis.

It would be interesting to do similar exercise on top post-SPM destinations/ opportunities in Malaysia e.g., high-profile scholarships e.g., Khazanah as well as selected A-levels, pre-U colleges e.g., KTJ, KYUEM etc.

This is such good reporting from the @harvardcrimeson: There are about 27,000 high schools in the U.S. Over the past 15 years, 1 in 11 students at Harvard have come from just 21 high schools. So 9.1% of Harvard students come from 0.07% of US schools. @nytdavidbrooks

It’s a business built around a lifestyle; not utility. People used to want to go to Starbucks for the experience (what it made them feel, rather than for the coffee itself). In emerging Asia, Starbucks was aspirational. Now people have moved on to other aspirational markers.

"Not everything fits into a cost-benefit analysis. Just because something is difficult to measure or quantify does not mean it is not valuable!" This is particularly key in the public sector, where 'benefits' are not easily measurable (think education, care, service). (7/n)

"The desire to express everything in measurable indicators, for example, has also contributed to more fiddling with figures — from professors who cheat just to publish their target number of articles to police officers who manipulate crime figures just to look good." (6/n)

The commodification of housing and the treatment of it as an asset for passive income is inherently evil. This practice is how only the rich get richer and the working class become stuck in an endless inescapable cycle of instability and rent.

Umur 25 tahun gaji RM8.5k sebulan ni actually quite impressive la for someone so young!  Ada savings RM40k pun quite good. Smart move sebab dah start saving awai. But here comes the half million-ringgit question (literally):  Okay tak anon nak beli first property for rental?
