When I told someone that I preferred to be alone, they said to me, “You like being alone.” I think there is a difference between wanting to be alone and liking being alone, and there is also a difference between wanting to be alone now and wanting to be alone forever.

There are more than 200,000 school-age autistic children in England. When they’re at school they deserve dignity, respect and support from staff who are equipped to meet their needs. Whatever a child’s behaviour, wherever they’re at school, there is no excuse for abuse. (2/2)

DO NOT forget this if you’re raising a child with autism, or ADHD. Meltdowns are rough but they aren’t anyone’s fault. Meltdowns are the result of overstimulation and are a sign of distress, not bad behavior. ❤️😊🫶💕🙏 Please share and follow for more ❤️🫶 #autism #parenting

Parents of children with additional needs are not after hand outs or special treatment. We just want to be treated with respect and our children to receive the support they deserve and need. #autism #AutismAwareness

When I think I've read it all, @Rachel_deSouza reveals a disabled child was found in such an appalling care setting that their feeding tubes had been nibbled by rats. Horrific. Good to read the govt is to act on this. theguardian.com/society/2024/n… #SEND
