My MTS degree at Conrad Grebel was such a gift! (A literal gift: That full-time tuition scholarship is no joke!)

Come study with Alicia Batten, @JaneKuepfer, @TroyDOsborne, @carol_penner, Derek Suderman, me, and others. Also: all full-time Cdn students receive full tuition scholarships!

That moment when you wander into a silly women-can't-be-pastors debate on a Friday night. 🤦‍♀️

Whoa. And yes.

Jesus was divisive. He literally got killed for it. What we need to do as followers of Jesus is make sure that when we’re being divisive, it’s because we’re standing up for the poor and oppressed - not because we love winning arguments or ignoring the way our words hurt others

Mmmmhmmm. Jesus, be the center.

IF YOU CENTER YOUR LIFE IN SOCIAL JUSTICE, with Jesus as your helper, justice eventually becomes about you (and your effort). If you center your life in Jesus, social justice is what He is doing in the world. You are empowered to live social justice, not just work for it.

I fully support this type of reform!

0-11 the highest age category yesterday. And my kiddo's one of them. Curious why @prairiespiritsd is waiting until Nov 16th to require vax or negative test for staff!? #covid19sk

9yo just tested positive for #Covid19. Symptoms mild so far. I am a combination of angry, scared, and confused by our current public health measures that say the rest of our household can just monitor for symptoms and carry on? #covid19sk

Alright, gimme your best stories about someone loving God with all they've got, or loving their neighbour as themself. I can teach scripture all day long, but that storytelling/illustration part is weak spot!

"...ritual ceremonies of religion must take second place to what really counts, an undivided love for God, and its application in concrete relationships of love with fellow human being." Can I get an AMEN?! (Timothy J. Geddert, Mark, Believers Church Bible Commentary, 295)

God does not save his creation for heaven; he renews the earth.

Me too!

I’m still convinced that there is nothing like the local church when it’s healthy, inclusive, justice-driven and Jesus-centered.

SO very grateful for the gift of warm late October evenings and the ability to gather outdoors.
