Teachers can not go to binding arbitration because the SK Party has not agreed to negotiate it. Meaning that the teachers can ask for complexity but if the SK Party refuses to accept it into an agreement the the arbitrator can not rule on it.
Sask Education Minister Jeremy Cockrill just can’t stop lying. It was NOT a “fair agreement that was negotiated”. It was an employer “final offer” that did not enjoy the support of all parties to the negotiations and as a result it was resoundingly rejected. 90% NO.
Sask teachers sent clear a message: ‘we’re not going to take it!’ Thank you for your strength and solidarity! Buckle up!!
