I do hope my students learn the content, do well on assessments, finish assignments…blah blah blah. But most importantly, I want them to feel welcomed, seen, heard, validated, and confident. When they do, the learning will follow tenfold. #CommunityOverCompliance
It’s baffling how many internet outages we have locally in students’ homes when an assignment is due. 🧐
No mention of data. No mention of standardized tests. No mention of TEKS or “do now” statements or endless LMSs. Just two people learning together. Despite tomorrow’s uncertainty, I am optimistic about our future, because of students like this. 🫶🏼 #MyWhy
