The final visit on @PlymouthCollege #BattlefieldTrip2024 was to Tyne Cot, the largest @CWGC Cemetery in the world, where nearly 12,000 soldiers - including @OPMClub alumni - are commemorated. A demonstration of the scale of the suffering on the Western Front. #LestWeForget

After visiting Langemark, @PlymouthCollege #BattlefieldsTrip2024 headed to Vancouver Crossroads to commemorate the site of the first use of deadly poison gas in warfare. A moving tribute to the men who stood so bravely in the face of such barbaric weapons. #LestWeForget

The final day of @PlymouthCollege #BattlefieldsTrip2024 began with a visit to Langemark to see how German soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice are remembered. An important visit to help us appreciate the suffering that took place on both sides of the conflict. #LestWeForget

Our final visit of Day 3 of @PlymouthCollege #BattlefieldsTrip2024 saw us take part in a daily act of remembrance at the Menin Gate. @lastpostieper continue to honour all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It was an honour to stand with them tonight. #LestWeForget

After visiting Ypres itself, Day 3 of @PlymouthCollege #BattlefieldsTrip2024 saw us head to the preserved trench network at Sanctuary Wood and the Death Cells in Poperinge to learn the story of ordinary men fighting in the Ypres Salient. #LestWeForget
