Kill the idea that you have to be good at artistic things to enjoy them, that every hobby has to become something you're so good at & you monetize. Such a boring life. Sing offkey, draw poorly, write badly. Life is meant to be enjoyed, not monetized. You're not a product 🥴
I'm speaking as an adult male from #Africa who only has a Nigerian passport. Careful what you support. We're returning to a world of might is right. The post WW2 order is being trashed. Imperfect as it is, gave us a glimmer of a chance. We'll miss it when it's gone.
The lack of high earning careers for people that enable them spare time and resources to invest in expensive hobbies has robbed us of a lot of things. America is full of hobbyists that create immense societal value simply because they have good jobs, disposable income and time.
One thing I've learned in my 30+ short years on earth: talking about anything is easy. Doing on the other hand? Is Herculean and requires a lot of commitment and effort, even for little things. Most people therefore find it easier to talk, than to do.
