As a 44 year old woman who is just finding out about my ADHD, it is so important to raise awareness so that others do not have to struggle as I have all my life, it is exhausting and a daily battle, hoping the system improves for assessment and treatment.
It is ADHD awareness month. I was diagnosed with ADHD 9 years ago aged 39. This year the theme is “Awareness is key”. It is important to: ➡️reduce stigma & show you can thrive with ADHD. ➡️Improve diagnosis. ➡️Enhance treatment. ➡️Foster understanding.
