Local resident Hugh Reed caught up with two MFCT Directors beside the Club to chat about the site's present and future: youtu.be/38WLYeCNH4k

We want to open the whole building to the community, create active spaces to be used and make the green space thriving and welcoming for everyone. Thanks @nolesserpanda for bringing the images to life!

The Club's present owners are determined that since they couldn't run it as a going concern, the only alternative for this green space is to demolish the vintage Club house and build flats on the greens. We think that shows a spectacular lack of imagination!

And here it is in full technicolour glory! @nolesserpanda has breathed life into our vision of how the Club could look with all the love and support this community has for it. #heartofmountflorida #oldclubnewhub #saveourgreenspace

We will keep campaigning to preserve and protect this open space for future generations. #oldclubnewhub #heartofmountflorida #saveourgreenspace

3rd image in the series of our vision for the Club in the future, by @nolesserpanda Put at the core of M/F over 112 years ago by planners who understood that it is essential to have green open space amidst the build up of dwellings for the health and wellbeing of residents.

MFCT have proved that we have a credible plan for the use of the site which has been supported by all the Planning Councillors and also our own four Local Councillors. The Appeal documentation is available here: dpea.scotland.gov.uk/CaseDetails.as… Case Reference PPA-230-2127

UPDATE: As expected, Mount Florida Bowling Club & NOAH are appealing against the Refusal of Planning Permission 19/03788/FUL by GCC. We will do everything possible to attempt to ensure that the Scottish Office reject and Refuse the Application for development.
