I’m very happy & proud to have to have been a part of this incredibly cool story with these awesome scientists! Check it out here: sciencedirect.com/science/articl… @BCMFromtheLabs

Very happy to share the lab's first publication with @ardemp We found (to our surprise!) that FM1-43 is a PIEZO2 activity-dependent dye in vivo! Congrats especially to Nick Villarino for his hard work, as well as other authors (+ entire Marshall lab!) authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S08…

One recommendation I have for new PIs is to find a fun, innovative lab that started at the same time, and do joint lab meetings. Science is shared! Friends are made! Thanks for being a great friend lab, @BoeynaemsSteven!

As I have been lucky enough to win another mentoring award I also want to acknowledge my failures . I would say these are my top ten failures Bonus: over mentoring is a thing! I sometimes want to help prevent future situations that others don’t see. I also am a little naive…

Thanks to partnership w/ awesome postdoc Olivia, we’re starting a seminar series at Prairie View A&M! The goal is to let students know about cool research, bc they don’t get access! Let me know if you’re interested in speaking- it was so fun, and the students have great questions

Curious about mentors v trainees expectations on use of work hours, so *mentors*: do you believe reading papers in lab (whether in preparation for a lab journal club or general literature review) is an acceptable use of work hours? #PhDVoice 2/2
