This is disappointing. Minneapolis eroding 4d, an affordable housing preservation tool, means eroding opportunities for more climate friendly, transit friendly, sustainable, affordable infill housing.
Changes to the 4d program passed City Council unanimously. Studio and one bedroom units must maintain rents at 50% AMI, down from 60%, in order to qualify for tax breaks. Larger units and office to residential conversations still qualify at 60%.
