In NXT, sure Speedball could be thrown into the Main Event on day 1, but what do you think his ceiling is long term on Main Roster? In AEW, sure you can throw him into the C2 and that would be awesome, but then what? At least in AEW he has a lot more freedom for other stuff
Oh yah of course, I was just talking from the placement on the card perspective. But for the fans him being on tv but still having the opportunity to continue to do some fabulous work in the indie scene around the world, is fabulous
I like him going to AEW tbh, because he can still just be Speedball—popping up on indies, having some matches of the week on Mania week, etc. I’m sure he’ll scale back his schedule, but it’d be a bit of a shame if he just disappeared completely from indies.
Also NXT was probably the place where he would have an higher ceiling He would be a main eventer from day 1, and probably hold the title relatively soon In AEW I see him slotting in as a reliable tnt/intercontinental challenger

Considering you follow me, this is an unfathomably dumb assumption. The NXT womens division is good, but I’d put it more on the wealth of talent rather than booking (which has been decent), but that doesnt make up for the truly ABHORRENT booking of the mens division lately.
I guess you don't like good women's wrestling which he is great in and the other two Dont know how to book them

I think there is an argument that he got in maybe a year or two too early, but thats it. You can't have 9 Mania main events and not be a WON HOFer If Reigns doesnt get in then we shouldnt even put most of the modern US wrestler on the ballots

I don't see the argument for it past vibes tbh. I don't see historical significance at this point in his career. He's not a major box office guy. And he has more of his career where he was a flop than years where he was successful. Roman has qualities, but not all-time level.

I think the most damning thing about Cole’s 3 matches in this build isnt how bad they’ve been, but more how little investment the crowds have in him as a babyface. The people hardly get behind him or rally for a comeback. They just sit there watching him get beat up lol
