No "school of technology" was harmed(Scaler, Newton, Functionup, Kalvium, PW).
With most big edtech’s failing in the high ticket price segment in terms of profitability as well as reviews. “tech school” is probably the last 🎲 Won’t be suprised if they put in a lot of 💰 into the marketing.
Key highlights of this partnership include: ✅ Credit Transfers: IIT Madras BS students can earn credits through IIT Palakkad courses, broadening their academic exposure. ✅ Cross-Institutional Course Access ✅ Internship & Exchange Opportunities
Slides can aid teaching (e.g., Robotics) but often lead to rushed, abstract presentations. Blackboards slow profs down, gives time to think and ask questions, promoting better understanding.
Check out NotebookLM! Create a notebook, upload one or more sources (e.g. PDFs of research papers, your favorite PhD thesis, a newspaper article, etc) then click on 'Generate' to create a podcast of two voices talking about the content you've uploaded. blog.google/technology/ai/…
Very cool, place well under “feel the AGI” category. As mentioned in the post, making actual apps is a lot more than code, you have to set up the entire environment, deploy it, etc. Automating all of this other infra will allow anyone to quickly build and deploy entire web apps.
AI is incredible at writing code. But that's not enough to create software. You need to set up a dev environment, install packages, configure DB, and, if lucky, deploy. It's time to automate all this. Announcing Replit Agent in early access—available today for subscribers:
This is so cool

Programming is changing so fast... I'm trying VS Code Cursor + Sonnet 3.5 instead of GitHub Copilot again and I think it's now a net win. Just empirically, over the last few days most of my "programming" is now writing English (prompting and then reviewing and editing the…

Will be spending the 5th Sem @iiit_hyderabad IIIT-H folks, What are some good electives to consider?
We might just be witnessing a bone-chilling murder in the history of IITs. IIT-Kgp & SIT were hell-bent on proving it as a case of suicide for a year. theprint.in/india/iit-khar…
GATE score, in my experience, had very little correlation with determining a person’s ability to do research. Frankly, it’s not a very good test for evaluating someone’s knowledge of a domain either.
Hopefully this is a lukewarm take, but I think the gap between what we teach in the classroom and what our students end up doing is something that needs to be taken seriously.
The truth is we need more specialized training programs getting potential hires ready. Compsci programs aren't preparing people for real work, and it's arguable if they even should. Bootcamps typically aren't good enough. There's a gap that can only be filled by hacking.
Sometimes India feels like a race track with a curriculum rather than a community. Samd rote learning, that same race of DSA CP Code forces and shit. Like comeon dude gets out of the rat race.
India 🇮🇳= soon to be world’s largest developer community Developers = first broad sector of 🌎global workforce to embrace Copilot. Ultimately means = The odds are ever in India’s favor to rise and win the age of AI. Cannot wait for this coming week in Bengaluru, to…
They had one job to do, but seems to be involved in some filthy mess.
