This year's 'Remembrance read' was Ronald Fairfax's 2008 book, taken from the WW1 diaries of RAMC Pte Percy Cawkwell of #Hull. From the horrors 'up the line' to poignant moments back home, the story moves along at a cracking pace. Not sure how I'd missed it, it's quite superb...
