LOUD & CLEAR: You belong. You are welcome. Your culture & language are valued. This bulletin board was shared with me over 5 years ago. A school displayed it in their front office. 💥 How does your campus send these messages to linguistically diverse families?…

Really useful for Y6 teachers - definitely something I’ll be using over the next few weeks. Thanks @FossardMr 👏🏻

I've completed a KS2 arithmetic paper incorrectly so my class can explore common errors. I'm sharing here in case anyone would find it useful for their class. Feel free to RT. drive.google.com/file/d/1RNzmih…

In love with my ‘mobile desk’. I usually wheel this around the school when I have planning time or meetings outside my classroom. It has all my favourite stationary and helps keep my desk tidy.

School boards - you don’t need to create your own orange shirts. You can instead support Indigenous orgs, communities and artists with already existing projects. You do not need to make profits on the backs of Indigenous trauma and call it “support.” Do better.

Been sitting in the lobby of the Calgary Catholic School District since 9am this morning. We haven’t gotten any answers to our emails, about selling orange shirts, so my friend and I came to to see if we can get a face to face meeting.

Here's a folder I've created to compile @ONeducation publications for future reference, just in case the government "lost" them: drive.google.com/drive/folders/… I'll keep adding as I go. Shoutout to TDSB instructional coaches who hoard and share everything!

Dear Students, Your intelligence cannot be measured by a number. Your intelligence is defined by your willingness to learn, problem solve and try new things. You are more than a number. You are a brilliant person with unique ideas. Share them! Sincerely, Your Teachers ❤️

The best thing to happen during this year is that children wear PE kits to school on PE day. It’s an utter revelation.

My friend Natalie & @a_shirouto wrote a children’s book during the lockdown which explain what worries are & ways that children can deal with those worries (strategies they can use) if anyone is interested in a resource like this it can be found on Amazon

I created an assignment on GC everyday where the kids could sit back & listen to a story that got them thinking. I can’t even begin to explain the number of discussions this story started. Thank you for this beautiful novel @OnjaliRauf the students in 6F have many questions for u

It’s been a tough week back. Not a fan of this new normal, but hopefully it’s temporary. Looking forward to meeting the new group of students on Monday 👩🏻‍🏫

Rather than asking students about what they did over the summer, consider these questions instead: 4/5
