I'm very grateful to @Miller_flash for this perceptive review of 'Twilight of the Godlings' 🧚‍♀️📚

Always good to review something that is actually worth the effort. My book review (written over a year ago) of @DrFrancisYoung 's ‘Twilight of the Godlings’ appears in the 2024 autumn issue (137) of the Journal of American Folklore. @CUPBookshop @cambUP_History @CambridgeUP

Just back from UK screening of first 3 episodes of @alfonsocuaron DISCLAIMER* at BFI London Film Festival. As I doubled for Kevin Kline, as his ‘stand in’ this is the closest I get to claiming that I featured opposite Cate Blanchett!😉 Told in 7 chapters AppleTV+ from Fri 11 Oct

Treated to new production of O’Casey’s Juno & the Paycock this evening with Rylance & Smith-Cameron. Rylance always good but perhaps without the brilliance of Jerusalem, say. Bit longwinded redeemed by telling dark humour. Glad I saw it but not rushing to tell others to do same

#bbcfootball Richarlison wants to stay at Spurs and we want to pay something like £60m for Solanke? Either the world's gone mad, or I have.

Visit to the water meadow of Runnymede and Ankerwycke today joining some haymaking wicker figures at the place of the Magna Carta.
