A #bbcnews reporter says a U.S. politician has made “unproven allegations". An allegation implies that the claim has been made before proof is available. So “unproven allegation” is, at best, tautology. At worst, it is opinion. A "proven allegation” would not be an allegation!

On an @Emirates flight last night from JFK to Dubai, listened to @tonyblackburn presenting Emirates new Soul Show. Great music, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, warm, one-to-one presentation. Been a fan since Big L days. A total legend and a complete pro.

So impressed with the @the_overtones at Potters, Gt Yarmouth on Sunday. As a foursome (following the loss of dear Timmy Matley) they have stepped up with brilliantly amended arrangements. Their professionalism, talent and humility is loved by their loyal, devoted fans.

Talking of the hideous @ESPN @F1 coverage - did you notice how bad the new Liberty-inspired F1 logo looks on the side of microphones? At any distance it just looks like a blob. Triumph of design over purpose. Camera view through Halo device, just awful. #saveF1
Notice that @ESPN have apologized for their train-wreck disaster coverage of the first @F1 race of the season. Not the fault of the @SkySportsF1 feed - 100% the fault of ESPN. Needs Hobbs and Matchett to be able to recap after commercial breaks and to host a post-race show.
Passing through Frankfurt today saw the new and old #Lufthansa aircraft liveries side by side. Well done Lufthansa, you just made your classic branding weaker and less impactful than it was before. Bet the designers told you the new look is "fresh" and more "modern". They lied.
#F12018 coverage in USA via #ESPN (rebroadcasting Sky UK feed), a disgrace. Train-wreck commercial breaks stomping all over commentary; no re-cap of action we missed in commercial breaks; no post race analysis. Love Brundell, but bring back NBC's David Hobbs and Steve Matchett.
The F1 rights holder that's banned grid girls from this season is owned by Liberty Media, owner of the Atlanta Braves baseball team, which runs an all-girl cheerleading team called the Tomahawks. Hypocrites. What next? Disband the Rockettes? Showbiz glamour does not = disrespect.
