I'm really interested in this Pointon & Sangwin taxonomy thing so i've put this together this afternoon on the theme of right angled trigonometry. I'll happily post a link to dropbox to download this but firstly would love to hear some feedback on this. Particularly on 5, 7, 8!

A set of questions on calculating the length of line segments using Pythagoras' Theorem.

Taking the sheep question from my most recent worksheet, I've changed it slightly to challenge my year 11 group.

If a scalene triangle is a triangle with all sides and lengths different. What do we call a quadrilateral with the same properties? A scalene quadrilateral?

A worksheet on Factors, designed using Pointon and Sangwin taxonomy. Answers on tes.

A set of questions on exact trigonometry applied to different trigonometric problems. Answers on tes.

A question on congruency proof. Is this working enough or would they need to state angles BCA and CAD are equal for ASA i've marked it correct on the assumption that if 2 pairs of angles are equal the third must also be equal. Let me know your thoughts.

I've taken a nice long break in Kerala, India. The picture is an Attam, made of flower petals, usually arranged during the harvest festival, Onam. It brings reflectional and rotational symmetry to mind, prehaps a potential misconception.

A worksheet on dividing numbers that are in standard form. Designed using Pointon and Sangwin taxonomy.

An exercise I used today with my year 10s for invariant points, there was some great discussions going around. Note that no student was able to find an example for a translation with 1 invariant point. Some students work attached.

A set of questions on calculating relative frequencies and expected outcomes.

Some AFL questions I'll be using today with my Y10s on invariant points. I'll be following up the question with, "give me a point that some students might think is an invariant point, but actually isn't".
