Happy Outdoor Learning Day 🍃 Year 6 had an introduction to algebra by giving natural objects a value. The children had to work out the value of each others objects in the calculations.

Year 6 have been busy debating in the House of Commons recently! The children were so enthusiastic and our judge was very effecting in managing both parties for and against the Appeasement policy.

To commemorate Remembrance Day each class made poppies to display outside on our school gates. “At the going down of the sun, We will remember them”.


Lasy week Year 4 joined @HGold_author for a zoom call. Today some of Year 4 received their signed copies of Hannah's new book- Turtle Moon. Year 4 are so excited to read it as our class novel next half term!

Year 3 have been busy researching all about London landmarks this week using the iPads. They navigated through several weblinks to find the information they needed for to be able to write their London leaflets this week. Great work. ⭐️

What an amazing time year 5 had completing their bikability. They have learned lots of new skills, including, checking their bike is safe, mounting and dismounting their bike and how to be safe riding in the road

Year 4 enjoyed a visit to Abbeystead Estate this week. They were very lucky with the weather and learnt lots of interesting facts about the plants and different ecosystems.

In Year 6 they were looking at using some vivid vocabulary to create their own place of ‘Wonder’ whilst reading The Nowhere Emporium by @RossAuthor They then used some AI technology to bring their opening sentences to life. The children were amazed with the outcome! 👏

Year 4 have been learning all about the Loch Ness Monster, the Loch Ness and Urquehart Castle in our English lessons. We have used the facts to create our own information texts. Did you know that the word Loch means lake and that the Loch Ness Monster has its own fan club?
