The mighty St Josephs Elm. This American Elm is widely cited as the most beautiful Elm on the prairies. Having adequate space, it was left to grow into its natural mushroom like shape.
…yes, it is. They are beautiful when in full colour. #SiberianLarch …and before the snow flies, they drop all their needles…
It is interesting to see how the Siberian Larch change into their fall colours at different rates.
Thanks, Dylan … over the years many passers-by have stopped to enquire what type of tree it is. When we planted it, it was a small seedling tree in a one gallon pot. It will soon turn golden, and shed all its needles—since it’s deciduous.
Mr. and Mrs. Deydey planted this outstanding example of a Siberian Larch back in 1997. Excellent work folks!
