This is where we were 3 and a bit years ago:

I see it must be Thursday because be junior doctor subreddit is convulsing and frothing at the mouth about PAs and ACPs again

James is great. When will @TheBMA start engaging doctors where they actually reside online instead of X with declining viewership & engagement?

All credit to u/sildenafil_PRN on Reddit reddit.com/r/doctorsUK/co… Well worth a read, @gmcuk communications with government prior to HoL PA debate, including identifying any 'supportive peers'.

Now would be a perfect time to demonstrate collusion and lobbying attempts between the @RCPhysicians and @DHSCgovuk - thanks to u/sildenafil_prn (@MedReddit). First off - Dr Sarah Clarke emails Chris Witty (to which he does not reply).

thought I’d have a nice read of Reddit this morning: reddit.com/r/doctorsUK/s/…

Some refreshing news coming out of East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. (H/T @MedReddit) It is not for JDs to pick up the slack (alongside all their other responsibilities) to teach PAs. This would be inappropriate anyway as doctors have not studied the medical model.

There is no agenda to replace doctors with physician associates. This is just one hospital. This is just one 6 month period. Credit u/sildenafil_prn @MedReddit

Tim we were told over, and over, that we were the whining loud minority in our twitter/reddit echo chambers. and then the BMA ballot returns over 95% to strike. the tweets are driven by majority opinion in our generation. the top of these organisations has to change.

To be clear Never- not once, not ever Has any PA personal information been allowed on the subreddit. We strictly enforce this policy for doctors and PAs and ban users for this. To go on radio and say otherwise is misinformation.

It is morally reprehensible to go on national radio and threaten the possibility of a suicide in response to doctors highlighting concerns about PAs. Not once does he address WHY there have been >90 recent news articles, just that it’s bad for PAs.

Thank you to u/sildenafil_PRN (@MedReddit) for sharing a copy of an FOI sent to Airedale General Hospital. This confirms the employment of a PA who has not progressed through the national exams (which are already quite lamentably a low bar) - confirming the suspicions.

Taken from the reddit, as per. Are doctors able to apply for ACP training? This would get you to senior autonomous practice way faster and without the exams or rotation. Sweet deal.

I can't imagine how unbelievably stressful it would be for these doctors. @PearsonVUE and @NHSE_WTE, this needs to be sorted ASAP. reddit.com/r/doctorsUK/s/…

Courtesy of MedReddit, new medical apprentices will be doing work as ward clerks/coders etc instead of studying full time to purportedly improve access to medical school for lower income families. It creates a two tiered system as the apprentice has much less time to study. Why…

Nicked from @MedReddit now we’ve got 2400:1 competition ratios for LED posts! For those of us preparing for unemployment in Aug, any suggestions? It’s becoming very hard to push through a terrible ED rota with all of this looming. Shall I go rogue + do a baking internship?
