Here is my educated guess: 1. If single casualty, it dues not matter as we are staffed the same 24/7. 2. If multiple casualties needing the OR simultaneously, it matters whether during off hours or regular hours due to immediate availability.
Agree. Theoretically, outcomes at a fully staffed and operational trauma center should not be impacted by time of day and some literature bears that out. In practice, there are factors that may lead to delays after hours (e.g. subspecialist availability, other cases, transport).
