Been a long road…for those of you who know me, my passion has always been the sport of wrestling. I competed in it as long as I could and am still a fan of it to this day. This league we are building has been a life goal of mine for some time.
One of my first favorite moments of college wrestling was shaking his hand after wrestling one of his guys in a dual meet .. it was like shaking Michael Jordans hand
💯 I said this all weekend! Just call them out of bounds..with all the complaining about too much subjectivity, there still needs to be some ability for a ref to look at a position and use reason and logic
Stalling on the edge calls are a big issue but I have another one that I really don’t have an answer for but would love for it to be addressed. Keeping a foot in bounds on top with zero intent to turn or even break them down. This is 100% stalling imo but wasn’t a rule this year

Question from last night for @sockobuw .. is the count rule intended for the position the Hermes was in against Bartlett? IMO I think that is a dumb stall call, whether it's effective or not, Hermes was working to score..in the spirit of the sport, that should not be a stall call

I get this is just a talking point, but what does it matter? As a 14-18 yr old, if you win a state title of any kind/sport, thats their Superbowl moment .. to have someone suggest those kids' wins arent as valid b/c there was 1-2 other champs, thats a moronic take @ the HS level
There is no reason any state has multiple divisions for the individual state tournament. Makes no sense. The size of your school means nothing when it’s 1v1. State champ should mean the best in the state at that weight. Bad for the wrestlers, bad for the event.
