Aaron Judge was playing with one shoulder in the second half and this was known at the time. He didn’t “collapse” because he sucked. And even then, he was better than Altuve.
I think a lot of people forget that Judge completely collapsed through the second half of that season. It's all well and good to lol at season statistics, but you could make a reasonable argument that he cost the Yankees the division, pacing a sub-500 August with his .680 OPS.
