Been meaning to do this, but I’ve been so busy moving that I completely forgot to make this announcement. Today I started a new job with @WyoSports covering the local high schools and LCCC in Cheyenne, WY. A big thanks to everyone in my career that has helped me get to this point

A double-double by Allyson Fertig and 40 combined bench points (almost double what UW had combined entering the game) helped power the Cowgirls to a dominant win over Colorado Christian. wyomingnews.com/wyosports/univ…

The most points off the bench the Cowgirls had this season had been 13 against Regis. Today, they have 34 today. Payton Muma has 11 of those points.

End of 3: Cowgirls outscore Colorado Christian 23-9 in the frame to take a 62-33 lead. That should be about it for the starters in this game.

With the Cowgirls up 58-29 and 2:42 left, Fertig's day is probably done. If so, she finishes with 22 points and 11 boards on 10-of-12 shooting.

Allyson Fertig has 20 points and 11 rebounds on 9-of-11 shooting from the field in this game.

Big third quarter coming up for UW. Cowgirls have been outscored 75-42 in the third frame, and have only outscored an opponent once.

End of 2: Cowgirls lead 39-24 UW outscores Colorado Christian 18-14 in the second quarter to take a 15-point lead into halftime. Allyson Fertig leads all scorers with 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting.

Allyson Fertig missed her first shot of the game after going 7-for-7 from the field to start. It was immediately cleaned up by Madi Symons, and the Cowgirls lead by 13 with 4:20 left in the half.

This helped cut the lead to 25-21. Since then, the Cowgirls have built that lead back up to 11 with 5:54 left in the first half.

Colorado Christian's shooting has really kept them in this game so far. They're 7-for-13 from the field and 3-for-5 from 3-point range.

McKinley Dickerson officially makes her season debut for the Cowgirls.

Cowgirls have forced four turnovers to start the game. Two of those have been offensive fouls.

Same starters as the last few games for Ezell to begin the game.

Friday afternoon matinee on deck for the Wyoming Cowgirls today, as they host Colorado Christian at 11 a.m. Good news for UW: it looks like both Tess Barnes and McKinley Dickerson are in uniform and are taking warmups.
