Delighted to see our study on OCD and substance misuse now out @JAMANetworkOpen! Another cool paper by @suvimariavv (part of the dissertation she defended in November), in collaboration with @MataixCols, @RalfKH, @LarssonPsychEpi, @LorenaFdelaC, @christianruck and others.

In this Swedish cohort study, individuals with OCD diagnosis had a nearly 4-fold risk of substance use disorders, substance-related criminal convictions or deaths. The association was partially accounted for by shared genetics. ja.ma/3Nr4v37
