There is no “teacher shortage” beyond the one we’ve constructed by making the profession untenable.

"Every child has hidden potential. It’s easy to spot the ones who are already sparkling, but many students are uncut gems. When teachers stay with their students longer, they can see beyond the surface and recognize the brilliance beneath." Congrats to @AdamMGrant on his new…

Love this!

I don't know who needs to hear this (me), but your work doesn't have to be revolutionary in order to make a difference, and even if it helps one person, it is absolutely worth it.

I keep getting heartbreaking emails from men who have listened to Jordan Peterson and are seriously freaking out that their IQ score may be too low to do anything with their lives. I’m not kidding. So many. So let me just respond here to everyone: - IQ isn’t all of who you are.…

Harvard admitted its first student in 1636, but its first black student wasn’t admitted until 1847. That’s roughly a 211 year disadvantage for black and brown people. To overturn affirmative action is to allow the sins our past to continue to permeate and poison our future.

Educators can take a note from this exchange. This brother is schooling the reporter. We have to reframe failure as learning opportunity. What did we do or not do. We need to help Ss use errors as information and learn to "fail fast". Thanks @selmekki for sharing this.

Giannis didn’t like this reporter's question on if he thinks this season was a failure.

New TikTok video: Why is it important to learn multiple strategies in math class?

Great article by ⁦@DrTempleGrandin⁩ — So much I agree with, and I think we’ve made considerable progress in how we teach math today. I would quibble that Algebra can be taught visually. What are your thoughts? Against Algebra - The Atlantic apple.news/ALRb6UWKeREi04…

Favorite quotation so far from @DanielPink’s #Drive — “Mastery is an asymptote.” It’s connection to Cézanne speaks to both my love of art and math.

I love this so much!! There is a flute vault?! I wonder if there is a percussion vault as well? How about bringing out more instruments @librarycongress ? #LizzoAtLOC

Hearing @lizzo play some of the Library's priceless antique instruments on Monday was such a gift, and we were honored and happy to help her share that gift with her concert audience Tuesday night. Here is some more behind-the-scenes footage of her Library tour. #LizzoAtLOC
