Ps. 1:1a “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the council of the wicked,” What counsel do I ascribe to? Counsel that’s culture driven, excuses sin, promotes self, justifies and coddles compromise, and calls me to love myself above others, will never lead me to blessing.
When I was 12, my mom started waking me and my sisters, entering our rm with a plate containing three glasses of orange juice, and a 3x5 card with a handwritten Scripture on it. This was likely born from frustration over us not getting up, but I don’t remember any of that part.
Freedom is already won for us. Clarity and righteousness are ours. Burdens of guilt and shame that hang about the necks of those redeemed, are deceptions from an enemy bent on death and destruction. We don’t remove them by examining them closer, they disappear when we seek Him.
It is within the realm of God's faithfulness for us to experience affliction, but it is beyond His character to leave us without mercy.

Cheating on a test produces a grade that reflects the knowledge someone else gained in study. Borrowing conviction is similar in that it reflects the relationship someone else has cultivated with the Holy Spirit. Worse though, in that it often produces condemnation toward others.
When results are the main goal of Christian leaders, followers become competitors. When Christ is the main goal, followers become disciples.
We live in a world that cries out to REPLACE, But You are a God with power to REDEEM.
