Interested in the potential use of #Naturebasedsolutions for enhancing #lowflows and the associated #costbenefits? I am pleased to share our new paper has been published here: doi.org/10.1016/j.nbsj… Many thanks to all involved @josie_geris @Hydro_Mark @NRI_Abdn @TheGlenlivet

Check out our open access review article on how small-scale headwater temporary storage areas (TSAs) can be used to mitigate hydrological extremes. @Hydro_Mark @josie_geris @PD_Hallett @HydroScholars @HNICScotland @WIREs_Reviews #naturebasedsolutions wires.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/wa…

Looking forward and grateful for the opportunity to present part of my PhD @WorldSoils2022 #WCSS22

Spent the last couple of days installing access tubes for the PR2 soil moisture probe. If only the installation was this quick … #soils #NBS #NFM

A good couple of days at Glenlivet doing fieldwork with @evaloerke and @JFennellWforW We now have water-level recorders installed so we can assess the performance and functionality of recently installed leaky barriers. #NFM #NBS

Great day at Balruddery Farm looking at existing temporary storage areas and potential new sites @josie_geris @Hydro_Mark @PD_Hallett @JamesHuttonInst

Day outside Aberdeen at the @JamesHuttonInst Balruddery Farm looking at temporary storage areas for @Martyn20Roberts PhD project. Just like us, looks like the farm had a brutal winter but some impressive interventions in place.

Great event today exploring the 'value of water' on #WorldWaterDay2021 @HNICScotland There was such diversity and innovative research showcased by all @HydroScholars in the virtual conference room! Here is a summary of my research.

Here’s my take on the ‘Value of Water’ 💧. Does nature provide the solution to multiple water resource challenges?

In today's WWD blog, @HydroScholars Martyn Roberts makes the case for nature-based solutions to improving the sustainability of water resources in a changing climate! bit.ly/37rhu1U #Water2Me #Water #WorldWaterDayScotland @JamesHuttonInst @CREW_waters

An insightful day @TheGlenlivet . Plenty of ideas now to further develop the project. Thanks to my supervisors @Hydro_Mark @josie_geris @PD_Hallett #TemporaryStorageArea #TSA @HydroScholars @UoAGeosciences @JamesHuttonInst

Glenlivet field trip exploring more water in = more whisky out = less flooding. For @Martyn20Roberts PhD project with @josie_geris and @Hydro_Mark .

Great day @TheGlenlivet collecting soil samples and seeing #NatureBasedSolutions being installed. A big thanks to @JFennellWforW and @TomKind6 for all their help! Looking forward to assessing the #NFM capabilities of these features. #TemporaryStorageArea #TSA

@Martyn20Roberts & @TomKind6 perfectly timed #soilsampling trip to @TheGlenlivet yesterday - completed #NBS dams full from the rain the day before, discussions with Highland Conservation on the installation process, and even got a lift with our equipment up the hill!
