I retweeted this yesterday and am doing so again today for emphasis. Behind the "front line" every hospital has managers working flat out to ensure the best possible care. Also lots of folks at organizations like @OntHospitalAssn and @OntarioHealthOH too. Thank you.
Spoke to several ppl this week, civil servants deep inside the machinery of govt & healthcare so central to the pandemic response that the whole thing would fall apart w/o them. They’ve gone full tilt for nearly 2 yrs, aren’t supposed to get recognition, but fully deserve it. 👏
This study shows 95% of 969 #COVID19-positive hospitalizations are in those not fully vaccinated. Of the 54 FULLY vaccinated hospitalizations: *25 (46%) were asymptomatic & picked up on screening test *14 (26%) with severe illness (avg age 80). Most with comorbidities. 3 died.
Great to see support for more #NPs to serve residents without access to a physician, but some of the facts here are incorrect, NPs do not require supervision, are registered with the College of Nurses, can work independently @quintenews quintenews.com/2019/07/08/wil…
Hear from Jennifer Clement at the @Sudbury_NPLC what makes their clinic so special for patients! @celliottability @NPAOntario @PatientsCanada @SFitzpatrick_TO

Great to see labour relations issues addressed in #Budget2019 as well. Thank you Minister @LaurieScottPC for your leadership, it is what NPs have been calling for: torontosun.com/opinion/column…
"In short, the rarest of qualities an exceptional leader possesses today? It's treating another person as a valued human being." I'm worried that this is considered a rare quality. I've worked w/ many leaders who are compassionate & engaged - maybe it depends on the industry?

Happy to celebrate the opening of a new nurse practitioner clinic with @VictorFedeli in North Bay. We're building on the success of team-based primary care models like nurse practitioner-led clinics, who will play a key role in our new patient-centred approach to integrated care.
