Who gets #Mastodon "salesperson" of a year award?

#ansible take, need to understand YAML, general Ansible, Jinja, Ansible functions/filters, what objects are in Jinja macros and what python calls are available. Also legacy Ansible format, JSON, ini, jmespath and regexp might be needed too. Config/version variations apply.

Found rpmconf -c regression in #fedora 37 bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?i… It follows /var/run/host symlink and ends up checking all files instead of only /etc and /var.

After enabling exec audit log in Linux I noticed journalctl did not honour PAGER env but looped and searched pagers. Now #systemd requires SYSTEMD_PAGERSECURE=1 to be set to honour any pager related env in any case. I did not expect that, hence github.com/systemd/system…

#OSS licences are sometimes sorted by fitness for commercial applications. How about build sorted list of licences by express warranty against defects (security issues) and guarantee of fitness for a purpose.

Today's obscure Linux "issue". Add execve audit logging -> journal rotates logs every time you run cmd with xargs because journal header field hash grows too large. #systemd github.com/systemd/system…

I was about to report that #selinux user domains can not run rootless containers on #fedora, but container-selinux-2:2.156.0-1.fc33 is in testing now and it works, great. I guess it was originally reported as github.com/containers/con…

To fix user_u you need to have user specific rules. This is possible with %{USERID} / %{USERNAME}. Seems they are only documented in upstream release notes and used in gitweb.gentoo.org/proj/hardened-… #fedora #selinux

One of my pet peeves is when "rpm -V" shows some modifications w/o local changes. Sometimes after installation, sometimes after package is used. Example: src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/libvirt/p… #fedora

I wanted to run only signed containers with rootless #podman w/o registry. Seems I can run a container with deny all policy, but can not save container image as tar file. Even test suite did not provide help. Any hints how to do it?

At least in #Android lockscreen passcode is limited to 0-9a-z and space without shift etc and takes only half a screen. Why not expand keyboard to write passcode to have more lines, add A-Z and selected punctuation and emojis. Quite short passcodes would be really hard to guess.
