Housing needs assessment for homeless person failed to consider social services assessment, earlier housing assessment, reasons for homelessness, and all potential household members. Also, relying on 'portal' failed to constitute notification as applicant didnt have IT equipment

Policy of offering private tenancies to discharge homelessness duties was not a proxy for offering households subject to benefits cap housing outside borough. No breach of s149 equality duty. In any event, compliance would not have led to different outcome.

The number of homeless households in Temporary Accommodation has hit a record high of 104, 510 Hard to overstate what a calamity this is for the families and children involved. Insecure, often far from support networks, expensive, poor quality. Life- alteringingly awful

We've published new research on the turbulence in London's private rental market. There has been a sharp fall in the number of properties available since the Covid-19 pandemic. Worsening housing and homelessness pressures mean the situation is turning from bad to disastrous.
