The most non-diverse panel on #ethnographicmuseums complaining about things being difficult these days - why are we giving this a platform? #easa2024

What a wonderful presentation by @ChristianVium today at #EASA2024 on visual repatriation and bringing back photographs through ethnographic research. I look forward to sharing some of my own experiences with these approaches from my research in Tanzania tomorrow at P158.

You can now read @LaiborK and my reflections on our visit to Oxford and the Pitt Rivers Museum at the blog of @sfb1171 affective-societies.de/2024/aus-der-f…

We had such a great and insightful day at the @Pitt_Rivers today, visiting the collection and exchanging with @prm_laurita about #Maasai material culture, collaborations and decolonial museum practices. Thank you for your time and the interesting conversation.

Commemorations in #OldMoshi to honour Chagga, Meru and Arusha leaders. On 2/3/1900 they were hanged by German colonial officers. Their remains were taken to Germany for racist research. The descendants are still waiting to bury them in their homeland. #MangiMeliRemains

Are you currently involved in seminars or trainings about ethnographic methods? Are you supervising students who will go on fieldwork in the next months? Please have a look at our manifesto for safer fieldwork!

#IchbinHanna chng.it/cTg7j7cYQQ

Today I was delighted to welcome Mnyaka Sururu #Mboro from @decolonizeBLN to our tutorial at the IfSKA @FU_Berlin to talk about Germany's violent colonial history as reflected in Berlin's street names.

My good friend an colleague Saskia Sturm wrote an interesting essay on race based inequalities in psy-disciplines!

Happy to share my latest Essay with you. Within this Essay I focus on proximity and distance of psy-disciplines and anthropology according to mental health and race-based inequalities. Thanks a lot to @AnthroMetronom 🌟

In collaboration with #Maasai community members in #Tanzania, @LaiborK and I set up a fund to help young Maasai women during the ongoing drought. The project is 100% community based and #grassroot. Donate directly or get in contact.
