Keeping up with my istighfar (intentionally) especially during difficult times has been incredibly soothing to my soul. Hard to put into words, but there’s a sense of relief, a softening of that tightness in my chest, a melancholy that only eases when I turn to Allah. الحمدلله
Lock in fr. Read your Quran. Study the seerah. Make your salat. Fast. Do your adhkar and istighfar. Seek out Allah. Be good to people. Be honest about the state of your heart and do the work to guard it. Go to war with your nafs. Fight against oppression.
The moment you start to love something deeply, pray that it doesn’t turn into a test for you.
Maybe it's true that people get bored of you when you show them too much love
