We wish to congratulate Dr. Margaret Banga on her appointment as Dean of the School of Statistics. She succeeds Prof. Wokadala, who concluded 5 years of dedicated service last Friday. We appreciate Prof. Wokadala for his outstanding leadership & welcome Dr. Banga to her new role
He commended Prof. Suruma for his visionary leadership in conceptualizing the PDM. The VC reiterated @Makerere's commitment to operationalizing the PDM lab hosted by @MakCoBAMS, which will serve as a hub for real-time data analysis and guide the implementation of PDM activities.
Prof. Suruma emphasized that the PDM aims to eradicate poverty, promote economic inclusion, improve service delivery, and modernize agriculture. The VC of @Makerere , @ProfNawangwe, underscored the importance of PDM as the largest govt intervention aimed at eradicating poverty.
