Hi #QueerArtistPH 🌿 I’m Ari, my work centers exploring timeless topics such as death, love, money, power and fried chicken through a surreal and lighthearted lense.
Inspired by the timeless ballet Giselle, these 18x36”silkscreens feature Myrtha, the Queen of the Wilis, with a veil of spectral maiden who lure unfaithful lovers to their doom. They loom over Giselle, who clutches her heart, caught between worlds. Available at @BLCKDRGNPRSS
It saddens me how such an imaginative and creative show struggles to get a season 2, this is one of those shows that's gonna be cited as a main inspiration for movies and games 20 years from now, it's peak sci fi.

The five day work week is not sustainable. You work eight hours a day, five days a week, and by the time the weekend gets here, you’re so exhausted but you have other things to do like chores and groceries and errands. Where’s the day to literally relax?
This is a great way to ensure the next generation of producers and executives never gets to exist. This is the work of entry level jobs. Interns, assistants, lower level execs. This is how you learn, how you develop taste. This is Hollywood sawing at its own neck to save a buck.

Everytime I see this phrase I think the proper response to it is "if you embrace AI too much you will get left behind. outsourcing your ability eats into your growth & experience gained for your most valuable skillsets - understanding how to create & developing an artistic eye.

Can everyone make it as a professional artist? Of course not, there are a million factors at play, many of them out of our hands. Can anyone learn to draw and paint effectively by just putting in practice like you would with literally anything else? Absolutely.
If there is one thing that I would like to see change after all this AI nonsense, it would to stop hearing pro's speaking in the name of every artist that "It's just hard work" and "Everyone can do it". Not every one can do it. If they could AI wouldn't be so popular.
