Proud to share my latest PhD work! We found that in GBS, CRISPR-Cas9 immunity is integrated within the virulence regulatory network. This co-regulation, mediated by CovR—the major regulator of virulence—could enhance the immune repertoire during infection. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Great work from @Bevika2 in our lab - CRISPRi-seq hits again!

Checkout @Bevika2 preprint! She used CRISPRi-seq to determine antibiotic-stress signatures, specifically of pneumococci treated with fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It's a really powerful approach revealing a surprising antibiotic combination therapy. 1/9 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
