The MTCR Chair and the Chair of the TEM attended the 30th Asian Export Control Seminar in Tokyo to conduct outreach with Asian countries on the contribution of the regime to #missile #nonproliferation. MTCR partners Japan, UK and US also made national presentations.

The #MTCR Partners adopted the revised version of the MTCR Equipment, Software and Technology Annex on the occasion of the #Montreux Plenary based on the recommendation of the Technical Experts Meeting. It can be accessed here: mtcr.info/mtcr-annex/
At the Montreux Plenary (19-21 October 2022), the outgoing Chair, Ambassador Grigory Mashkov, handed over the #MTCR gavel to Ambassador Benno Laggner, the current Chair of the MTCR.
#Switzerland has taken over the Chair of the #MTCR from Russia. Under the 🇨🇭 Chair, we aim to preserve and strengthen this regime within the global #nonproliferation architecture, to increase its visibility and to highlight its important technical work.
The MTCR delegation paid an outreach visit to Islamabad. The Chair also took part in an international conference “Promoting Strategic Trade Controls trough International Cooperation” and visited Pakistan’s Centre of Excellence for Nuclear Security.
The MTCR delegation visited Mexico City with a second outreach mission on August 24, praising Mexico’s commitment to maintaining regular dialogue with multilateral export control regimes.
The MTCR Chair has returned from his trip to Abu Dhabi and Hanoi, where he was with an outreach mission on May 24 and May 26-27 respectively. Thanks to the countries’ ministries and agencies for productive discussions and a warm welcome!
