Macminicolo Status Reposted

With the last batch of Mac minis leaving the old data center, @MMCStatus will no longer be used. You should subscribe to systems updates on the @MacStadium status page here: status.macstadium.com

Traffic between you and MMC passes a lot of places. Here are the current areas with issues.

If you’re using Cox/Comcast, you may have trouble reaching the data center. They’re having troubles in US West. Everything at DC is fine.

It’s been over a year since we had reason to tweet an issue here, but we have to post something so Twitter doesn’t mark us inactive. So, hi.

The support site will be offline as we get things straight again. We have a log of everything so it'll all be right with some work.

We had a major billing issue last night. I'm so sorry. We're on it already and will get things right. - Brian

While Comcast is still sorting through some routing issues, our facility has also made some changes to minimize issues. Should be fine now.

Comcast is having routing issues this morning. They’ve confirmed they’re working on it. No ETA. We’ll keep updates at macminicolo.net/status

The traffic to the /22 is routing again and machines should be back. If your machine is unreachable, please put in a ticket and we’ll help.

Still working on it. Everything we have access to is operating normally. Hoping to hear more from upstream providers soon. Sorry. -Brian

We’ve pinpointed the issue. (/22 dropped from BGP) Working with our facility to get it back in place. Waiting on their engineering

It looks like we have a couple subnets down in the 199.19.x.x range. If your machine is affected, please update the ticket with a traceroute

Some machines in the data center are offline. Looking into the issue and will have more soon.

@Brianwmsn I know it. And 200+ days without any instance of anything whatsoever. Dark monday. =(

We had some machines restart here. They should all be back. If any troubles, send a note to Support. (More info coming as well. )

As of a few minutes ago, it looks like we’re clear. As usual, we’ll be monitoring it very closely today and investigate the cause.

Looks like we tempted fate. After 100% uptime last year, we have a DDOS attack this morning affecting some machines. Looking into it.

No one should have been unreachable, but there was packet loss as the congestion started. 4Gbps is a lot of traffic to direct.

Alright, everyone should be back. We found the attack, blocked them, and are double checking all security settings.

Things should be back for 95% of the customers. This was a good one...
