We observed minimum beaching of fresh Sargassum during the October field survey. For November, there was no reported beaching. This could mean end of the season for 2021. A great relief for the fisher-folk. @SARTRAC1 @AddoAppeaning @WinnieSowah @MK_Biney

With the Flexible Innovation Fund (FIF) under the SARTRAC project, we are investigating the severity of Sargassum beaching along Ghana’s coast. First field measurements in September 2021 revealed sargassum beaching with depths exceeding 1 m. @SARTRAC1 @WinnieSowah @AddoAppeaning
