If Indigenous ppl are telling you…That a word used against some of our relatives in our community is a slur and we disapprove of it, and there are articles online saying that the word was used by colonizers as a tool of racism….Wouldn’t you want to idk believe us???????

A recent conversation reminded me of this. Over the last 8 years we have seen how marginalized groups have been treated by politics. These decisions are not spontaneous. 2016 was disappointing, 2020 seemed like we redeemed ourselves, 2024 felt personal.
Whenever I am told this I laugh so hard.
