This is 100% the best thing I’ve ever read on Twitter. 😂

For the last six years I’ve kept a spreadsheet listing every parking spot I’ve used at the local supermarket in a bid to park in them all. This week I completed my Magnum Opus! A thread.

So many backward steps seem to be being taken at the moment. Let’s try to move forward, not back.

NEW REPORT reveals US pushing to weaken UK #pesticide standards. If UK Government gives way there will be larger amounts of more toxic chemicals in our food & environmentally-damaging pesticides could be reauthorised. Take action against #toxictrade at pan-uk.org/toxic-trade

No mow May. If you don’t want to leave your whole garden then why not leave a messy meter squares instead!? facebook.com/groups/messym2…

It's #NationalGardeningWeek! This page on the @PTES website has some really nice ideas about how to promote wildlife in your garden. ptes.org/my-garden/?utm…

Great to see Matt Baker talking about making a garden pond to attract wildlife on @BBCCountryfile last night. It would be great to encourage everyone to leave a @M2Messy messy metre squared in their gardens too to promote biodiversity and invite nature in!

Great to see the enthusiasm of children and nature.

Thrilled to receive this from one of our Y4 Bee Team at school today. She has made her own #bee PowerPoint to educate her family all about bees & is running her own 'Bee Club' at home! What dedication, wonderful to see! #homeschooling @heronhillschool @britishbee @BeekeepersHour

Sunshine and social distancing has brought the sound of lawn mowers into the air. Don’t forget to leave at least a 1m squared patch un-mown. Hey presto - you’re doing your bit for nature! #wildlife #lazy #gardening #nature

Dear councils, 97% of UK meadows are gone. So please: if you have wildflowers like ox-eye daisies on roadverges and in public spaces, don't spray them with weedkiller or over-mow them. Let's give pollinating insects like bees and butterflies a chance 🐝

Messy M2 Reposted

A bumblebee can only fly for about 40 minutes between feeding. But we've lost 97% of our wiłdflower meadows. So please plant at least one nectar-rich flower in your garden or community this year. Your one flower could be the pit stop that saves a bee 🐝
