Masks for airborne disease are like boil water advisories for waterborne disease. Measures that you use to keep people safe while you build infrastructure and change regulations…let’s get going.

I love it when patients tell me all their medical information is "in the system" and I gently remind them our system still includes fax machines so it might not be as robust as they think.

Journalism is one of the many places where women who show any signs of ageing are deemed disposable. It's deplorable as it creates a narrative that older women should just disappear, and stop existing.

Never forget that the goal of privatized healthcare is to provide profits for shareholders. Meanwhile, the goal of public healthcare is to provide healthcare for people. Which one do you think is best suited to improve the health of Canadians?

Lynda H. Milner Reposted

Any suggestion that privatizing healthcare in Canada will improve access to care for average Canadians, or that it is being done for that reason is a bold-faced lie.

Lynda H. Milner Reposted

Despite the fact healthcare workers stand to make more money in a private system, most don't want it. They resist it because they fundamentally believe in the right to equitable medical care for all. In a world of people chasing money I think that's worth celebrating.

I fear that what we may hear next is, “the healthcare system is unsustainable” we must seek pay for service options to clear the backlog”.
